My Moto RAZR2 and Sierra 597 aircard both take micro SD. Is Micro SDHC the same?

Micro SDHC is a newer version of Micro SD. SDHC is backwards compatable with SD cars.

If your phone doesn't recognize Micro SDHC cards, it will just register it as a Micro SD card. Which basically means it won't be able to see the whole free space without a software upgrade.

    no...

if ur device cannot support SDHC, it cannot read SDHC cards at all.. there wont be any damage to the hardware though, it just cant read anything off thaht card

and it might not be just a software upgrade... newer SD devices that came out before the SDHC standard might be able to flash their firmware to read SDHC, but older SD devices cannot
