I have now had two of these and love them except for two things one minor and the other seems to be major. Only one key to click with your thumb, i prefer two...but the major issue is the first one after about 6 months it would have long pauses and freeze up...i thought it was driver related updated and still the same thing. Plugged it into different computer and did same thing. So i finally called microsoft and they sent another one. Now 6 months later this one is doing the same damn thing.

Is anyone else having this issue or is it just me?

Never knew Microsoft made a G5 mouse as well! Could be an issue with software mate. Have you tried installing/re-installing the mouse software?

I have both the one thumb button G5 and the two thumb button logitech G5 laser meece. They are both very good. I have to say that the rope like wrapped cable is not the greatest thing that Logitech introduced. I find that the usb cable tangles an awful lot. My first mouse tangled so bad it ripped out of the rope like mesh and it stopped functioning. I emailed logitech, and they gave me a new G5 with the two buttons. I took my one button g5 apart and I simply soldered a new usb cable to my mouse and it works like new.
