I just got a Microsoft 5000 Notebook Laser bluetooth mouse to use when I am away from my desk. I use a Microsoft 6000 Laser desktop mouse at my desktop and love its larger size, and the 5000 is a much smaller mouse. Here are some comparison shots. Note, the mouse even came with a free mouse case.

In the end, this mouse is very small but comfortable to hold. It has a back button which i love for browsing, but I would not want to use it as a main mouse. Also, one thing i like is it does not make a loud clicking sound when you click the mouse. Its more of a soft click, so if you were to be a student in the library, you wouldn't be disturbing people with your mouse clicks.

I have bigger hands, but it does feel comfortable to use, but i think it would get uncomfortable after long periods of time. I also wouldn't want to use it for a main gaming mouse because of its size. But its a great size to be able to shove in your bag on the go and would be great to use for presentations.

I have one as well, got it when they were released. Excellent quality, and very comfortable. That said, it can never match the comfort of a desktop mouse. I sacrificed that little bit of comfort for more portability.

    agreed with the comments

i'd also like to note that I wish the scroll wheel wasn't so so deeply embedded in though because I personally find it troublesome to use , especially with bigger hands.

I just bought one myself. I like that it had a back button. I don't like the color. It was very easy to pair up. It seems very smooth, though I've not played any games with it yet. The scroll wheel is too recessed for my liking and if you put a little pressure to the side of the scroll wheel and try to turn it, it sticks. You have to scroll it with pressure straight down the middle.

Its way too small. Very uncomfortable to use even after the couple of hours that I've had it. It's going back.

My kingdom for a full-size bluetooth mouse!

It is a very nice mouse, I really like the carrying case. Also for those looking for a nice notebook mouse, another mouse to check out would be the VX revolution, it is also a very nice laptop mouse.

I had the MS Laser 5000 briefly, I thought it was too small for everyday use. I bought the MS Intellimouse Explorer for Bluetooth v2 instead. The only problem supply is limited since it's been discontinued. If you can find it, it is a great full size bluetooth mouse.

Wierd thread. I too purchased this mouse over the weekend for my M1330.

It was between this or a Logitech VX Nano mouse. I decided to try this one out because I won't have to use any of my USB ports and utilize them for other things when needed. Plus, for once I paid for Bluetooth technology - I want to be able to use it.

I was surprised how quiet the "clicks" are for the mouse, it doesn't make a peep at all. I actually like the white color, looks sharp ... although I thought the all black color of the Logitech VX Nano looked better. Eh, oh well.

I got it for $49 through Office Depot and it has a rebate for $10.00... not too bad.

Originally I had a Microsoft optical mouse that I bought about a year - year and a half ago for $20 on sale last year. I've thrown it on eBay for a starting bid of $2.00, no luck :( .... looks like I may have to just donate it or throw it out.

I really like Microsoft hardware products they've always been excellent, the same can be said for Logitech -- both companies make excellent hardware.

You don't have to use the blue tooth module they give you, you can use your laptops built in blue tooth. It's just there because most computers don't have blue tooth built in these days.

I've been using this mouse for about 2 weeks and love it. The only problem is that sometime when I turn the mouse off then on later, it doesn't find the device. I then have to delete the bluetooth profile on the laptop and reinstall / repair everything. Has anyone else had problems like this? This just started happening recently. When I first got the device it didn not do this.
