Has anyone else experiecned this, and if so know why.

I have an MS mouse that has always acted eratically, but it's not wireless, and the previous mouse I had (logitech) did the same thing.
I can be moving the mouse and then the cursor will shoot up to some edge of the screen and will want to stay there for several seconds, then it's back to normal. I think it's my computer b/c it never happens randomly with my brother's PC with my logitech I gave him. I think I'm gonna find a new, more expensive mouse and see if it still does this. The problem does happen more w/ the MS mouse. Is this the problem you had before it died?

First thing comes to mind is changing the battery. If that doesn't fix it, try removing the USB dongle; plug it in different USB port. Otherwise it might be a dead USB dongle, they tend to die alot for some reason.
