The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    hey guyzz ,

    i just bought a Microsoft vx-1000 Webcam with a built in microphone

    i installed what's on the CD "Lifecam 1.3" but when i connected the webcam , it kept searching for drivers in the CD & online , then said that is unkown

    so i manually installed the driver by right clicking the usb webcam in the device manager and pointed out to the extension folder of the program , but now i can't use the microphone at all , the webcam works just fine

    I use windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit
