    Hey guys,

Sorry about all the backpack questions. But I wanted to ask anyone who owns a Mobile Edge Backpack a quick question. On their website, Mobile Edge says that the Premium backpack has their patented safety cell protection for the laptop. Does anyone who owns the Express Backpack have the safety cells in their laptop compartment as well or is it just a sleeve with no protection? Can anyone take any pictures of the inside of your Express backpack? Thanks!

Btw, for my Vostro 1500, I have limited my choices down to these two Mobile Edge backpacks and the Oakley Flak Pak/Icon 2.0. Let me know what you guys think!

PS: Thanks to everyone who will link me to their backpack review and/or has done so already!

I have 7 Oakley bags and I love them. Never have any problems with them. Just got to be careful because people will want to steal them if you leave it out. Still very nice and stylish. Mobile Edge bags are ok.

    Hey JPET,

Do you have the Oakley Icon 2.0 by any chance or the Flak Pak? Do either of them have any type of special padding in the laptop compartment? This might be the only thing that might sway me towards the Mobile Edge backpacks. Thanks.

Hey Crudder - I got the Express backpack today - $30shipped and it is incredible! The construction is solid - I would compare to an Icon 2.0 that I have felt in a store. Far better than the EMS I had preciously bought and the NorthFace line. My The sleeve has a lot of protection - The bottom is really nicely padded and so is the back and front. About 4 inches of the laptop lid will remain exposed up on top. I put my caselogic sleeve on and the laptop still fit comfortably giving it additional protection. The bag is pretty slim too yet has enough space to hold a few binders. My only complaint is that the silver colored one has a brownish / graphite tinge- which I do not prefer. I would rather have it a neutral gray.

My Flak Pack should be arriving any day now. I'll be posting a short review.
