I've been looking for quite awhile for a bag for my NP9261 17", which should be here soon.

Anyway, the Mobile Edge Premium looks awesome, especially for the price. I've read reviews but I'd rather here what some of YOU have to say about it. I'm taking my laptop to the desert and it is going to be facing a lot of throwing about and dust...sure, a hard case would be great, but I'm carrying a ton of gear and would much rather have a nice backpack.

    The Mobile Edge Premium...thoughts?

I have an opinion. But, in the interest of full disclosure I do work for Mobile Edge. I am a college student though and value comfort, style, affordability and functionality in my backpacks. When I started working with Mobile Edge the Premium backpack was the bag I chose to carry. I've carried several other bags from our men's collection since, but the Premium is definitely my preferred choice.

My laptop is always safe and secure because of the SafetyCell Computer Protection compartment in the Premium Backpack. The bag travels like a champ and can carry more stuff than you can probably ever dream of packing in it. In fact I blogged about it on our company blog site, mobileedgeblog.com if you want to check it out.

I hope this helps. If you have any further questions just let me know.

I have this BackPack have had it for over a year now and I have zero problems or complaints about it.

it is very comfortable on your back even fully loaded,
it has a ton of pockets,
    very good quality construction,
very good protection for the laptop inside,

I currently use it to carry my XPS m170 around and it works great for that I can hold the laptop with powerbrick and some school books in it. In about 1week when I get my XPS m1730 we will really see how much it can hold since the power brick is about twice the size.

I ordered the 17" Mobile Edge Premium Briefcase for my 9261 and it's great. I can't say about the backpack since I didn't order it. I got my briefcase for $68 w/ free shipping from Amazon.com. A great deal I think!

This still looks like my bag of choice, as long as I can cram my np9261 and a bunch of other crap in it I'm good.

Thanks for the pics. I'm starting to think this excellent pack may be a bit too small for a 17" NP9261.

If I'm reading the specs from Mobile Edges page correctly 15.5" L x 10.5" H x 2.5" W for the laptop compartment, it is certainly too small for a 9260/61
