So i asked for methods of doing it, but I'm just wondering, do I change settings on the monitor itself (with the buttons on the monitor) or from my catalyst CC?

Well im not an expert, but in the past i usually just used the buttons on the monitor. But recently since i have multiple computers i bought SPYDER3EXPRESS to have all as close as posible, in there they ask you to reset your monitor to stock settings and the application sets up the profile with the nvidia control panel. Idk what would be better though, thru the panel or monitor.

I dont think it really matters. Id do it thru the monitor so you dont have to use more software and its more direct...

The calibration tools I've used have all been software-based. I guess they do it that way to make calibration independent of the options the manufacturer provided through the OSD?
