Hey guys, I'm trying to decide on a monitor to buy. I have narrowed it down to a few choices and would like to know if you have any experiences with them.
I'm looking at:
Dell SP2309W
Samsung P2570HD
Samsung XL2370
The P2570HD seems like a good idea because it has a lot of connections including a TV tuner. From what I heard the visual quality is good so that is also a good point.
The XL2370 is LED so that is good from what I heard. Better and brighter picture. Also very thin, although I don't know if that is very important.
The Dell seems to have good quality also, it has a lot of erganomic features.
What I'm looking for mostly is a monitor for normal use, watching movies, playing games (PC as well as PS3).
Thank you for all your help.

Samsung P2570HD monitor has a good digital HDTV tuner, produces a beautiful picture with excellent color fidelity and good blacks (when used with HDMI), and has some pretty decent speakers. The only two things that kinda chafe are that, unless you're looking straight on from a livingroom-height piece of furniture, light levels go a bit wonkey, and there is no swivel adjust. Since it's marketed primarily as a monitor, this could be considered unforgiveable in some quarters. I think Samsung P2570HD is bater than other two.

If you want a monitor with TV capability, then the Samsung P2570HD would be the only choice between the 3. However, if you don't need a TV, the Dell would be the better option as it has a higher resolution, low response time (great for games), great contrast ratios and a respectable brightness of 300 nitts.

You could also look at the Samsung PX2370. I have one and have found it to be pretty good. The backlighting isn't as even as I was hoping, but it's a TN panel, and it's about as good as you'll get for that. It also costs much less than even a cheapo IPS display. Viewing angles are decent, but again, it's a TN panel, so they're not great. It does have a technology called MagicAngle that will adjust colors and brightness so that if you always look at it from an off angle, it will adjust for that angle. Color reproduction (especially white balance) is incredibly good. Just keep in mind that Samsung's LED monitors are incredibly bright. I've got mine at the lowest brightness it will go and it's still far brighter than my MacBook's screen, which is at its highest setting. It's honestly hurt my eyes after a few hours in a dark room, but maybe I'm just used to my MacBook's dim display.

Thank you for your suggestion guys.

Sorry, I'm a little late to the party I know but I figured I'd chip in...
I now use it just as a monitor for my desktop but I did also use it for my PS3 for a while, between getting my PS3 and getting my TV, and it worked very well for that as well - even though it's a higher resolution than the PS3 outputs, it did an excellent job in up-scaling the picture, to the point that sitting just a couple of feet away, I couldn't tell the signal wasn't at the monitor's native resolution.
I haven't looked over the other two monitors you've mentioned because the other posters have done a good enough job of that, I just wanted to offer up my first-hand experience. -
Yeah U2711 is nice (but $$$). Even a U2410 is definitely a nicer panel than those TN-panel units. Especially if you're going to use them in multi-monitor configuration, you need the better viewing angles available from a non-TN display.

I'd also recommend going with the Dell SP2309W. I recently sold mine but it was a very nice screen, with great build quality. Not a big fan of the glossy bezel though.
