    Hi All,

Just wanted to see if anyone has any experience with ordering some of the newer accessories from monoprice. They have always been my go to choice for cables, but I've been looking at both their mechanical keyboards and their high end high resolution displayport monitors. Does anyone have any experience with them?

Looking at the 27 & 30 inch displayport monitors

I've bought some of Monoprice's headphones before.

The general sense I get from anything Monoprice sells is about the same. The item isn't going to be the best-you-can-possibly-find. But it's pretty good performance, at an incredible price. The price-performance ratio of anything you buy from Monoprice tends to be through the roof.

For the 27" 1440p monitors, they are equivalent to the 27" 1440p Korean monitors that people were buying off of eBay for ~$350 several months back. They are made from LCD panels originally intended for 27" 1440p Apple Cinema Displays (rated A quality panels). But for whatever reason, there are some LCD panels that weren't of high enough quality to make it in to the Apple Cinema Display (A- quality). These A- quality panels ended up in these Korean 1440p panels. Monoprice's version of these monitors is slightly more expensive. But you get shipping from within the United States, you get a return address in the United States, and you get a warranty / return policy.

A return policy with no restocking fee. That's huge if you end up not being satisfied with the product.

Not sure if I would be willing to drop any money on those keyboards apart from the MX Blue one since its only $46. I would rather get the Corsair K range instead of the other Monoprice keyboards. I'm sure they're not bad but I think there are better alternatives.

Those monitors (like all the other Korean IPS panels) are a pretty decent buy. Just be aware if you want to game at decent settings on those displays, you are going to need a beefy setup.

As much as i love my sager, I'm looking to build a desktop rig around the titan and want a really nice screen. My concern is finding out that these panels are A- rated. Does this mean they likely have a single stuck/dead pixel or two? Is there a ratings guide I can look at?

I believe Monoprice guarantees them for 5 or less dead/stuck pixels. This is basically standard even with the larger OEM manufacturers. Dell's policy (well for their ultrasharps) is up to 6 dead/dark pixels and up to 1 bright pixel.
