WTH is with Logitech? They keep releasing wave after wave of mice. Flooding the market and destroying all competion before they even get a chance to compete. And to top it off most if not all of their mice are stellar products.

    </sarcasm>

It really does seem like logitech can't stop making mice. The new gaming mice seem cool enough (finally a dedicated wireless gaming mouse) although they lack a thumb button. The MX1000 is still bad ass. The MX3000 keyboard and mouse combo look great and cheaper than the MX3100/5000 (the newer combo).

And now we get two new notebook mice and two new regular mice.

Like everyone else I'm digging the V400. I'm so glad I didn't buy that V200. I was so close, so dead set on it too. Those forward and back buttons are what will really set this notebook mouse apart from the others, than and it's rugged look, something I've wished would come out and voila Logitech delievered.

    Drool time...

Hey, destroy them before they even set foot is not a bad idea :p

At least Logitech's support and build hasn't declined....

I'm thinking that it takes a single AA battery. If it were rechargable it probably would have said being that rechargable battery is a pretty big feature to have.

If this mouse is available to purchase, where is it?

Has anyone used the MX3000 combination? And if so how is the mouse?

They're the big dogs with mice these days. They're slow, they're kind of lazy and they swipe the bones from the little dogs. While I like that Logitech "learns" from competition, it's annoying to see Logitech's marketing crew make it seem as if a product feature (like adjustable sensitivity or a backlit keyboard) is an innovation all their own.

Nowadays, it seems like they're sitting pretty until someone releases a good product, then they drop a few clones out there. I like Logitech, they make good products, but I'd rather support the little guys making the progress.

That concept of having to plug the receiver back into the V400 to switch it off is plain bad! ... Why not add an on/off button!

I am still waiting for a MediaPlay replacement. Hopefully they won't screw up this one, cause the current is a beauty and ooooooh so comfortable ... me likey :D

That v270 is hopefully better than its predecessor. It was so small, and oddly shaped. Had a friend who had it. It was the worst thing ever, made me think bad about MACs ever since (He plugged it into a mac).

    That MX610 looks nice.

Not really. It's a mouse meant for on the go mousing. So when you are done using the mouse you are also probably done using the notebook. It wasn't made to sit on a desk while you are off doing something. It's made for mobile users. So scraping the on and off switch and using the reciever as the switch makes sense to me.

It's funny, with all these new mouse innovations Logitech has not released a new left handed version of anything yet it seems. I think the left handed people of the world would like to get their hands on an MX1000 or gaming grade mouse too Logitech.

Who else is a bit curious as to how well the forward and back buttons will function on the V400?

If its the same size and similiar curves as the v500, the v400's forward/back should rest on the side of your thumb, right in the middle. Of course, with large hands... :)

    oh no...

now i'm torn between the Anycom BTM-100 BT mouse and this new logitech...
will the V270 be rechargeable? the big feature of the Anycom mouse is that you can plug it into an USB port to recharge the bats.

No. I don't think any of these mice are rechargable.

The V400's forward and back buttons aren't on the side Coriolis. They sit on the edge of the left button.
