Say you have a desk next to a bed. You have an all in one or a monitor on that desk. Sometimes you want to use the computer at the desk on a chair. Sometimes you want to use the monitor as like a TV next to your bed.

What are some elegant ways to have the monitor rotatable?

There are problems with lots of cords. If you rotate the monitor, you may dislodge something/knock over something.

Say for a computer you want for using lots of tabs, netflix, downloading lots of pictures and audio etc. No gaming though. Some of you might say "well just get a dell xps 18 its mobile, just flip it around" but I somewhat hope to get something larger screen more like 24-27 inches and more powerful

If it's on a desk you can get a VESA compliant rotating monitor stand that clamps on to a desk. These are similar to the stands used to mount monitors on walls, except they clamp on to desks or tables. Some of them have built in cable management channels to hide the cables. The cords should not get dislodged in this case, but you still want to give a couple of inches of slack. You can't really do much else.
