I'm looking to buy some accessory, but if there is nothing really good out there to spend the money on, I'll just save it.

So try to persuade me with the most useful item you have (keep the prices reasonable).

A decent bag. Thats if you need it. By decent I mean good protection for the notebook, comfortable to wear and good capacity, also good quality materials and good compartments.

The most useful thing I have is my headphones. Everyday at work I long to listen to them, I enjoy them an insane amount. Most things I have more fun wanting to have them then I do actually having them. So my most useful(or funnest) accessory is my headphones. Oh, they're Ultrasone HFI-780's and you can find them for $181 shipped to the cont. usa.

    Most useful for a laptop?

A bag as Johnny already mentioned. I use a Swissgear backpack.

And a mouse. I hate the touchpads. See sig but I've got a kick-*** Steelseries Ikari on order.

    most useful thing,
well in my books its at least three EBM papst fans which can push over 3000cfm, to make your laptop hover ;)

a cooling pad is a good idea if your system runs on the hot side.

    Not bad, not bad...

I've already got a pair of nice Sony noise-cancelling headphones, and storage isn't much of a problem for me. I'm considering getting a Zalman cooler and mouse (the deathadder is lookin' good). Speakers seem OK, and I've had my eye on the "Logitech X-540" 5.1 speaker set. I also don't need a TV, as there is one downstairs :)D)

    keep 'em comin.

That would be my opposable thumbs, of course.

As for my notebook, hmmm, Lapboard? Cooler? Backup Drive? Software? Pelican Hard Case? Tough call!
