Hey guys,
I need to buy a mouse and my budget is about 100usd.!
I was looking at some over the internet and found razer orochi , razer naga, razer imperator, steelseries sensei and roccat kone[+] to be interesting ones but not sure of there real life performance.!
I need them to game with my alienware m14x r2.!
I like to play fps, strategy and mmo games.!
Although naga was looking very cool for this but i have heard from friends that imperator is very good for fps games because of its dpi.!
But then i thot will i be able to tell difference between a 5700dpi naga and a 6400dpi imperator?
Also as m14x dosent have a numpad, while i am not gaming i can use naga's key array as a numpad too(after getting used to it).
Also, the reason orochi is here in this post is because it is the only gaming wireless mouse in my budget.!
When i am doing casual gaming or doing other tasks i can use it in bluetooth mode and when i need serious accuracy i can go for wired mode!
Hw is the mouse in both modes??
Need help in deciding!
Also i dont know about there long term durability.!
Also, one more thing..any different suggestion or a cheaper alternative will work too if its actually good and worth the money because i am a budding gamer.!
Oh yeah, bdw i am right handed and have a above average(i guess) hand size.!
Now to my another problem.!
I was looking for mousepads and found razer alpha control mouse.!
Is the choise right?
How is the mousepad?
What are its pros and cons and how is its durability?
Thnx![]()

So you want a wired gaming mouse? As a pure gaming mouse, my advice is the Logitech G400. I play strategy and fps, but no mmo. It is cheap and considered one of the most accurate mice out there. It just doesn't have all the bells and whistles that don't do anything for gaming.
Also do not worry about DPI. It is really just a marketing gimmick these days. ANY gaming mouse has more than enough DPI for you. -
Its not necessary for me to get a wired mouse but i have heard that bluetooth constraints there functioning so they are mainly good for casual gaming!
And thnx fr d reply.
I'll check out the logitech one too now!
By the way, m14x r2 has bt 4 so will it be compatible with orochi anyway? -
Logitech g700 man it's pretty much the mamba but way better in quality xD

AJ,
it depends where you buy the mouse from? Can't you go to Amazon, Logitech's website, Best Buy, EBay, Wal-Mart, Target or just about anyother big retailer will sell the item online, choose your favorite store and look. -
How will going to a retailer help it!???!!! -

The DeathAdder and G400 are probably the two best gaming mice in terms of overall quality and value. They're inexpensive, but use some of the best sensors and have very reliable tracking. They're both wired, but it's virtually a non-issue.
As for wireless, don't bother with the Orochi. Bluetooth has 14ms latency, while regular USB wireless has 8ms and most gaming wireless mice have 1ms. You just really can't game with the Orochi in BT mode. It's not bad in wired mode, but then there's no reason to have a BT mouse in the first place.
If you want wireless, then the G700 or Razer Mamba are pretty much the way to go. -
You asked for the price of the G700, now your asking which one to buy?

I was actually thinking that in wireless mode orochi can double as normal laptop mouse and when i want to game i can use the wited mode.!
How is it for that?
And nice advice.!
I actually am thinking of deathadder!
Have heard a lot of praises about it ! -
As for the Orochi, if you use wired mode for gaming it's not bad, but it's not the best either. It's very small by gaming mouse standards, for obvious reasons, and the cord is only 3 feet long. Decent amount of buttons, but the right side buttons can be a bit awkward to click.
I'd say the DeathAdder is probably your best option overall if wireless is not an absolute priority. Amazon has it for usually around $45 to $50 USD. -
My recommendation is to go buy one at a store. Honestly the price is about the same. My Logitech G500 I bought a year and a half ago was giving me trouble for the past six months so I went to a store here with tons of mice and played around with all of them. It feels so much better than shopping online because you can feel how the mice are in your hand, how much they weigh, how well they move around a mouse pad, etc. I narrowed it down to the Logitech G400 and the Razer DeathAdder. I ended up going with the G400 because is a little cheaper (the base price was slightly lower and there was a 15% off all logitech products that week!), I don't like flashy lights, and because I have been a fan of that design since Logitech released the MX500 many years ago. The ONLY thing I miss about the G500 is the free-spinning scroll wheel, but it's really not a big deal.
