The fewer wires the better. :p I would just get a wireless mouse. The laptop keyboards are normally good enough for extended amounts of typing.

I typically buy the mouse & keyboard separately - the mice I buy don't come in combo packs. I'm not too fond of the combo packs because in my opinion, there are some form of compromises in either the design or quality of both the mouse & keyboard.

My current setup is a Razer Copperhead gaming mouse and a Kensington SlimType keyboard. I use a wired setup simply because I don't trust wireless when it comes to two main interfacing/input devices.

How much are you willing to spend on a keyboard? I'd highly recommend the one I use:

Depends if you like the clutter or not. I have a wireless mouse but use the keyboard (for now) on my MB. Looking at various BT keyboards but I may go with the Apple Wireless since the TactilePro is hard to find...

Corded Mouse, Coredless keyboard, has been that way for years.

The reason for a corded mouse over a cordless one is simple, I haven't tried out the Logitech G5 mouse in the flesh yet... ;)
