partly depends on preference. personally I love my 8x10 $5 mousepad from Fry's.com It has the normal rubbery-foam bottom $ the normal cloth top.

    I don't like any of the hard-top mouse-pads.

Nocturnal is the mouse guru, I'd go with his recommendation if you wanted a more professional opinion =]

Forgot to say that size kind of matters ;)
I'd like to bring it to school because the desks are really dodgy sometimes... I don't want my mouse to damage because of a not-so-optimized surface.
The Mantis Control is a bit too large so I'm going for a Goliathus small, if anyone claims this is a piece of **** be my guest and say so ;) I was already thinking about this piece of equipement so now I just got a confirmation.
Though... I never really tested it, it just seems like a good deal and good size.

If size matters the Steelseries qck mini may be a good option its the size of a normal mouse pad and rolls up

Steelseries makes some GREAT products. Their QcK mouse pad would suit your purposes perfectly, and they run $5-$10 cheaper than Razer.

If u want Smaller Sized Gaming mousepad then checkout Steelseries QCK Mini

    (click on the hyperlink)

its a smaller version of the QCK.

    Razer's smaller mousepads are overpriced

    thanks...appreciate the compliments :)

    Steelseries are the best
Try getting a Steelseries QCK, either QCK+, QCK, or QCK Mini.
    Either will work perfectly

If you have a nice mouse, then you should put it on a nice surface, the QCK's are amongst the best

the QCK (normal one, average size) is just 9.99 on newegg, the mini es 7.99.
They arent made out of metal, so you can wrap them up and take it wherever you wanna go :)

Mine is a QCK normal, and its great with my G5 :D

QcK Mini, I used one with my Deathadder. Works great, is small, rolls up and it's priced right. :)

    A quick note...
The 'Steelseries QcK Mini' is the same as a 'Steelpad Qck Mini' right? Or not?
They seem to have a different icon on the pad but every site claims the steelpad qck mini to be manufactured by Steelseries so I assume they're the same?
