I just bought an MSI ws60.

I bought it used and it is missing 1 single keypad key. Specifcally, the astrick (i.e. *) symbol. <--- I need this. Anyways, I called MSI and they said they don't replace single keys, and replacing the entire keyboard is roughly $180 (no thank you).

Also, I need to purchase some accessories.

I bought this laptop because I commute to school back n forth 5 days a week. This is a portable light-weight laptop for a reason, and as a result I will definitely require some good laptop/keyboard/screen protection. Please list suggestions with their links/prices. Best price/affordability would be nice, but not entirely necessary - looking for quality.

It looks like the MSI WS60 uses island-style keyboard keys... you can probably just buy replacement keys off of eBay for that style of laptop keyboard. The keyboard *most likely* uses scissor-type mounting on top of a dome keyswitch mechanism, which is pretty standard for laptop keyboards. Macbooks and Macbook Airs use that type of keycap, so that's where I'd go first to check.

But there is no guarantee that a keycap you buy will be compatible with your specific laptop unless it specifically states compatibility with your specific MSI WS60 laptop, or unless you buy a replacement keyboard. You will probably also run into situations where the font and/or backlight-compatibility design may not match perfectly, unless you buy keycaps that are specifically compatible with your laptop.

As for accessories... you didn't say much about price, style, needs, etc. But in general, if you just want inexpensive bang-for-your-buck products, go to Monoprice. They have backpacks and cases for about $20 - $30 that will definitely do the job. You won't win any style beauty contests, but it does the job well for the price you pay.
