Bluetooth is known to plug in several devices at the same time...
I was thinking... If you have a bluetooth GPS receiver and a software for it capable of "voice dictation and giving directions"...would that sound came out of a bluetooth headphone/microphone?
Would the picture also come out of a PDA?
Meaning multitasking the features of the Laptop, PDA, GPS receiver and Headphone/microphone? [?][?][?]
Sidetrack question: Is it possible for the sound of the laptop or PDA transfered to the car's stereo? (some kind of FM transmitter coz the car has no audio "in")[?][?][?]

I am concerned of the incompatibilities that will arise... It is kinda laborous to buy a headphone/microphone and returning it...only to find out that it wont work or you can just use the car's own stereo system...[:I]

It depends on the configuration. You could conceivably use a Bluetooth GPS unit at the same time as a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, perhaps even a headset. This would work with a notebook, but not a PDA where multitasking is less prevalent.

Comment from one forum....
Audio Outputs from an application are made available to all enabled devices. The trick here is to find out how to enable them. As a start, open up the Sounds and Audio Devices Properties in Control Panel and check for the presence of your BlueTooth device, and then go to Device Manager and find the device and check Properties. Then go to Volume Control panel and clear the appropriate boxes and adjust the sound levels. If there is an application specific program that controls the Bluetooth device make sure that it's accepting data from the same source that is outputting data in Audio Devices Properties. There really shouldn't be much of a difference between a pair of headphones and a bluetooth device as far as Windows is concerned.
RE: sidetrack questions, most wireless conectivity devices do not set up secure connections, and I'm not familiar with the protocols used by the Earthmate GPS device specifically. However, the idea of listening to the GPS device should work, it's when two way communications are enabled that the Earthmate or laptop might freak. Chances are with security still so loose it won't be able to distinguish between either of you, and will accept commands from both as if they were one.
I check out one of the other forums and found an interesting discovery....

That link says that bluetooth can have 7 devices at the same time but can only be paired once...
I was thinking my pairs are:
1. BT GPS TO BT-enabled laptop
2. BT-enabled Laptop TO BT headphone/microphone
3. BT-enabled laptop to BT PDA
Please commment on this... Has anybody tried it???
Multitasking the Bluetooth- In reality not true!
