For some reason my G9 keeps turning off and on(pita during mw2) I think it's something with the power cord where it attaches to the mouse. Whenever I move it the wrong way it shuts off. Anyone have an idea about what's happening?

Maybe the copper is cracking or getting broken apart from the rest of the mouse. Try opening it up and see, if it's not under warranty.

In the case that it is under warranty, just send it to Logitech, they'll probably give you a G9x or something.

A direct quote from the Logitech forums:

"There are 4 screws, under the mouse feet. If you can press on the foot to tell where the hole is, you can press a medium-small screw driver thru the plastic foot to get to the screw without removing the foot. If you do peel up the feet, you'll probably ruin them."

Personally, I wouldn't puncture through the mouse foot if I were you. Removing it is the better option, and if you have basic motor functions in your brain, you won't ruin them.

True, it would be better if you can possibly remove them with the small risk of breaking them rather than utterly mutilating them.

Not to hijack your thread, but have you noticed a very light "clicking" noise whenever you slide the mouse in a certain direction (to the left, for example)?

My G9 started doing this awhile back; I've checked the feet and everything and it's all good. There's also nothing caught inside the housing. I think it has something to do with the laser tracking diode; the slight "click" only happens when I move it a certain direction, and only when I move it from an "idle" or "still" position. I dunno; maybe this is normal and I've never noticed it before...The only thing I can think of is that when you set the USB polling rate that high, the clicking sound is like a "re-calibration" the mouse performs every time it starts moving from a prone position.

Does that really matter though? If that happened to my MX Revolution, it really wouldn't bother me.

Not really, but the click is significant enough that I can actually "feel" it through the mouse...just kinda annoying I guess.

Really? Is it still under warranty?

Yeah, I don't think it's been a full year yet...just haven't bothered going through the motions.
