    Hi,

A while back i paid for purchased a 7.1 speaker set from DABS.

Creative Inspire T7900's are what they are.

Unfortunatly, it only works on 2 speakers, not 7. Does anyone have any idea how i can use 7 speakers? I have a HP Pavilion dv5046EA.

How are you hooking them into the notebook?

If it's directly into the headphone jack, then that is why you are getting only 2 speakers working.

You need a separate sound card that can support 7.1 speakers. Not sure of certain model, but try checking out Creative. They're a good brand.

Also, check to see if your computer has a PCMCIA or ExpressCard54 slot, and then find a sound card that accommodates that type of slot.

    Hope this helps.

    :)

This is exactly what i have done. I have 2 'card' things, one on either side of my laptop which i can pull out. They are like plastic placeholders.

I havnt a clue what i am looking for tho, froogle has totally mythed me.

Just a note: i live in the UK.

Creative has a 5.1 USB card, but it is like $20 less then the pcmcia card.
