Every time I use my deathadder so much dirt gets left behind on the left and right click buttons. Its not that its that hard to clean, but lots of dirt gets stuck in the crack between the top and botton of the mouse. Here's a picture to show what I mean:

That entire white line of dirt is really disgusting, but nearly impossible for me to clean with everything I've tried. It's not like I don't wash my hands, but there must be other people who have this dirt issue with their deathadder. What should I do to get that dirt out, when nothing even fits in there to begin with. I am already sick of having to clean this deathadder every hour or so of the dirt that builds up on it, so any recommendations of a equivalent easy-cleaning mouse would be nice. I know the orochi's lid comes off which makes it easy to clean, so a similar full size mouse would be awesome.

I use a Q-tip soaked in rubbing alcohol on my DeathAdder. For the space between the thumb buttons, I use a toothpick.
-
I use those dental floss sticks to clean my deathadder. That is dead skin just to let you know.

The gunk is the fluid that lubes your skin and keeps it in working condition, I remove it with a sharp tipped knife.

Remind me not to buy a used DeathAdder, that is horrible looking!

Perhaps Cyber Clean cleaning compound?

Dirt issue with deathadder? now thats a first.

Hmm compress air should get that out
but a tooth pick also should get that out.

So I tried cleaning it with a toothpick, and it did work somewhat. Here is how much dirt that was inside that small crack:
All that white junk was in there, gross. As you can see in the picture, there is still some dirt trapped deeper inside the crack where the mouse enters its thickest area. This dirt is not seen from afar, but I see it when I look directly at the crack. The toothpick only removed the dirt that I can see while looking at the mouse, but there is still a lot of dirt trapped deep in that crack. Is there anything even thinner than a toothpick that would clean that out? Compressed air does not seem like it would work for dirt trapped that far into the crack. I have not even used this mouse for barely 6 months, I do not want to know how much dirt will be trapped deep inside there after 2 years. -
If you have small needle I think that's thinner than toothpick's edge

This never happened to this extent to my lachesis, however I used the edge of tweezers (one half) to clean the same groove and most of the (little) residue there was came out.
Hope this helps -

Old toothbrush FTW. CANNOT be beat for this type of thing.

If you're feeling adventurous, you could remove the screws from the bottom of the DA (one under each of the two mouse feet at the top end, and one under the sticker), for disassembly.

This is really is the best thing, and since it is soft you don't run the risk of damaging you mouse -
if you are going to have to keep cleaning the mouse after usage, then imo, you should go looking for a new mouse.

Also it does happen with a lot of stuff. I took a toothpick to the line on the side of a xbox 360 controller and lots of dead skin came out of it. I am sure there is tons under most people's keyboards also. -
It varies from person to person
My lachesis doesn't have this problem, but it s so dusty here that all surfaces like my laptop screen, keyboard, and the top (rubbery) surface of my mouse get covered by dust fairly easily -
but my mouse that I hold everyday .. is not a dirt magnet.
So no, I have to say it depends on the object. -
