    I'm looking for a notebook cooler and right now I can get this at a local store so i was wondering if this is anygood or not?

    Bytecc NC500 Aluminum stand works for me! It's probably one of the better ones out there for the price (($25 or less)). Avoid Plastic coolers if you can.

    You'll get more cooling with fans than just heat pipes alone... specifically, an aluminum cooler with fans. Check out Newegg.com for a wider selection.

    Targus sells a few fan-based models in most stores.

    y avoid plastic?

    Mine has been functioning well and is comfy in my lap. .

    Because aluminum dissipates heat quite well versus plastic does squat. It helps in addition to the air flow that the fans produce.

    Or if you are really broke or if you like to diy, you can prop the back of your laptop and put small pc fans behind it, or, you can just put a huge standing fan behind it.
