Can this GPU card handle one 25" LED hd external monitor? I will be using this external monitor for gaming as well for school work etc...

    thanks in advance.

What a card can handle is determined by resolution, not physical size. If you'll be running the external monitor at the same resolution as your laptop's internal monitor, the performance will be exactly the same.

it can run any resolution just fine depending on what your asking out of it. If your getting a 1920x1200 or 1080p it'll run most games at that res just fine but newer games will not run smoothly. What res is the monitor? Also what do you plan on running on it.

485M will run newer games at 1080p with ease, maxing all but a few like BF3, Metro 2033 and maybe Crysis.
