I own an ASUS G2S-A1 and I've narrowed my purchase down to 2 backpacks. I've narrowed it down to the Wegner Pegasus and the Targus XL. I've heard numerous complaints about the lack of storage capacity in the Pegasus, but reading the semi-review, it seems like it has a sufficient amount of space. As for the Targus, I've heard things about the bag being ginormous, and I don't have any store to go down to to actually see the bag in person to know exactly. I can go down and see the Pegasus at Circuit City any time I like.
Another thing, the Pegasus at Circuit City amounts to $49.99 while the XL comes to about $54.99 on Newegg. I'll also have to pay shipping and wait 3 days.
I'll be carrying about 5 notebooks, 2 binders, and 2-3 textbooks in the bag ALONGSIDE THE LAPTOP. I'd also like to have room for my phone, Zen, my lunch, etc.
Honesly, bottom line, I'll be paying $15-$20 less for the Pegasus, and it's awesome build quality and sweet aesthetics. Not to mention that the Pegasus appears to have an "always thick" form, meaning it's fairly rigid and doesn't have to stretch to accomodate extra things. Looking at pictures of the XL, it appears that it is made of a material that will have to stretch to accomodate more. (although I'm sure it CAN accomodate more)
Exactly how big is the XL? And is the size of it worth it for the 3 day wait and the $20 more?
If I can get a good comparison I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
