    i need a backpack for a 17' laptop with these diemensions: 15.6" (w) x 11.5" (d) x 1" ~ 1.8 H

    Kensington and Targus have backpacks for 17 inch notebooks.

    check out ebags and put in your approximate notebook size.

    off the top of my head, i would check out mobile edge's products, or pakuma's packs.

    Check out the MobileEdge Securepack.
    I bought it for my HP dv9000t. It fits, but just barely.
    Its a cool little backpack though.
    I would try looking for it on Amazon.com since it is much cheaper on there.

    I enjoy my Kensington Contour Backpack, I use it for school and work too. :)

    Kilim's Clevo M570U (Sager 5760) Review for his Accessories gave me the idea to get it, its awesome... especially since it has an adjustable lumbar-brace to prevent back pain. :D

    Its only about $17-30. A friend picked one up for his notebook at Circuit City for $17, and I bought mine from Provantage for $35... lame, but still worth it.
