Hey guys,
I'm currently using the Logitech X-230 speakers that I bought 4 years ago for $30 bucks or so. They are truly good speakers, especially for the price. I really have no complaints about them, but I want to upgrade my speakers to get a little more power. I prefer to by used/refurb than new as the price is lower, and my budget is $100 or under (of course, the cheaper the better). I currently have my eyes set on the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1. What would you recommend?
Thanks

Promedia 2.1 FTW... i picked up my pair at a bb 2 weeks ago (only place to buy them aside from online) Best investment I could get for the price.... The other option I would choose is get a pair of Nice bookshelf speakers and a used receiver... By the way if you go to cowboom.com and get a dented/open box/scratched pair of promedia's for about half the price if your into the refurb thing

What's the difference between the Promedia 2.1 and the Promedia GMX A 2.1?
-
according to their site the gmx is a discontinued version... a much smaller sub and a higher thd %

In that budget, you can't go wrong with either the ProMedia 2.1 or the Z-2300. I've owned and used both.
I personally feel like the ProMedia 2.1 is a little better balanced for music, so I would get those if that's what they're primarily going to be used for. Otherwise, the Z-2300 sounds fantastic in movies and games, and music still sounds great. -
I was going to come in here and recommend the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1's. But you are already well on top of that.
Definitely get those. Those 2.1 speakers are legendary. -
Just because i'm also interssted in some good 2.1 system.
Where is it good to buy ProMedias? Do any of you know someone that ships to europe? -
there are only 3 places that sell them.... Best buy, Cow boom (best buy's open box store), and klipsch's site
-
But do any of these ship to europe?
I can't seem to find any shipping options for other than zips in the US
EDIT:
So, after contacting the only people selling Klipsch in my homecountry Denmark, it seems like the Promedia 2.1 are not sold/ being producted anymore.
Instead i had the Jamo I300 recommended? Does people know about these? Are they good?
Or what about the Audioengine 5? -
i ordered my promedia's from klipsch, but thru the amazon site. have u tried amazon yet?
-
I'm sorry, but the ones i see after adding to cart on amazon and proceeding to checkout i get the error that this item can not be shipped to you current adress?

I'm looking at Amazon for a set of Promedia 2.1, but it seems like these speakers are no longer made? How is the Logitech Z-2300? I'm looking to buy this on Amazon, and budget is now $120 new or used, but HAS TO BE from Amazon.
