I'm looking for a cooling pad that is semi-portable that can cool my Vaio FE.

I know, there are a ton of cooling pads out there to choose from. And thats exactly what the problem is. Which to choose?

I'm not looking to spend over 25-30 or so.

Here is a snapshot under my Vaio where most of the heat is at. The circled part is where most of the heat is at, where the memory sticks are held and the harddrive. The vent is located on the side in the back of the notebook btw. (Don't mind the two red circles in the corner, thats nothing.)

Recommendations for a pad that cools this area to the best of its ability?

The antec notebook cooler or the targus chill pad is a good idea. I have had both and the antec is 10 dollars more but well worth it. The targus is very cheap and fans don't blow real well. Hope this helps.

^That antec looks pretty good. Any idea where I can find a good, good deal for it?

You can try amazon.com or newegg.com. I think they both have it. Also check the weekly circuit city circulars as I have seen them on sale before.
