    Hello All,

Please suggest a TV Tuner Card for my Laptop. I should be able to simultaneously work on my laptop, while I am recording the program of TV using the TV Tuner Card.

I have a Dell Inspiron E1505 & an Asus EEE PC (10 inch).

I live in India and hence would be grateful if you could suggest me some model that would be available here too. Preferably I am looking for an external one that would be compatible with both the laptops

    Thanks in Advance,
    Regards,
    Hemanth

most likely a USB tuner is best...

what type of signal do you use in india? PAL/DVB or NTSC/ATSC?

Yeah, I'd recommend some sort of USB tuner as well. I think India uses PAL ( Link). I'm pretty sure most tv tuners can do both NTSC and PAL, however.

As for specifics, I don't really know much about them. I've got a Pinnacle one, and it serves me well.

most tv tuners do either NTSC or PAL... not both

Pinnacle sucks IMO( got two of their hardware, bad experience... their TV Tuner section is sold to hauppauge though, and hauppauge is top of my list though)

from wikipedia, looks like india is using PAL / DVB-T... PAL = analog, DVB-T = digital, not sure if you are decoding a analog/digital signal or not( need more info)

though i'd look at PAL/DVB-T USB TV Tuners offered by Hauppague and AverMedia... both are top quality companies IMO
