    Hi!

I'm in the market for a webcam - at least, I think that's what I want. I hope somebody out there can help me choose.

I will be using the cam to record presentations done in front of a class. I may be up to 50 feet away from the presenter, so I'd like something with a zoom lens. I'd also like to be able to take still pictures.

Also, I might not be able to mount the cam on my laptop lid, I may have to set it on a table or something like that.

Any suggestions? I've looked at the Lenovo, Microsoft, and Logitech, and am wondering if there is anything better suited to my needs?

    Thanks for all your help!

You know, there's a really powerful webcam from Microsoft that isn't that expensive...$100 CDN, so about $85 US. The Microsoft Lifecam NX-6000. 2.0 MegaPixel Video, 7.6 MegaPixel Photos.

Its small, so easy to move around, even small enough to just put into a pocket, without damaging the webcam cause the lens slides out, so just slide it in and its safe.
