I have a High Sierra Backpack. It has plenty of padding and alot of storage and compartments. Kensignton also has good cases. Eh, Targus is a "so-so" brand---i have had good things and bad things from them.

I like the Targus City Gear backpack very much. I've not run into a problem with it in a year and a half of abuse, though I think I'm going to switch to a messenger bag sometime in the near future.

Well, like you I am a college student. But, I also happen to work for Mobile Edge. I've carried my laptop in all kinds of bags, from Rip Curl, Da Kine and Burton, but none have worked out as well as the Mobile Edge bags I carry.

I don't just say that because I work for the company though. If I didn't mean it, I wouldn't be on NBR posting about Mobile Edge. In fact, I started carrying a Mobile Edge bag before I even worked for the company. I just think for the price you get one heck of a bag. That, and we are one of the few companies to offer a lifetime warranty on a laptop bag.

That's why I am a big fan and why I post about Mobile Edge.

Think I'll pick up this then from your recommendation. I got a 40 dollar gift certificate from Amazon.

    http://www.amazon.com/Mobile-Edge-M...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1199393457&sr=8-1

There is enough room for a 15.4'' Laptop right? It seemed like there was a sleeve in there for it but I wasn't sure since its hard to pick out whats in a bag from not holding it in your hands.

Any other thoughts on the product?

    Thanks.

i like the built in pocket on my swissgear backpack :)

these are the only reasonable priced (around $40) that don't break halfway through the year. Arg, I went through about 3 bags one year before stumbling upon these.

It does have a padded pocket, but I think it is more designed for use as a regular backpack, but nice to have the option.

I'm going to use the notebook sleeve I got for $5 off NCIX with it for some sweet school notebook packing :)

Yes, the Express Backpack will hold a 15.4". It does have a dedicated laptop compartment to keep your laptop safe and secure.

Let me know if you have any other questions. I'm always happy to help out. :D
