    a shoulder bag or a briefcase type one is probably your only option for that price....

    Check for sales on Targus backpacks, the other week they had one at best buy.

    Targus League backpack i believe was 30 dollars with a 10 mail in rebate at circuit city. I have it and it fits my 15.4 with the stick out battery perfect and has plenty of extra room

    I just happened to come across a samsonite backpack that will fit a 17" for $29.95 more than you want to spend, but it still seems like a pretty good deal. It is one buy.com, front page. I haven't been looking, so I would bet there is something cheaper out there.

    I bought the samsonite venue backpack that fits upto 17" for $30 at buy.com. its a bargain and a real good backpack!
