    Hey everyone! I ordered this

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FFIJRQ

Not realizing it doesn't ship until June-July... So I think I'm going to cancel it and buy one that will get to me sooner. My laptop has been getting really hot, fan never shuts up so I need it fast. I don't game or anything so I don't need anything TOO intense

I can't find that exact one anywhere else online; anyone have any suggestions for one similar to that (same price range) work really well? I have a 17" computer, so not too small. And I'd also like to be able to HAVE IT ON MY LAP, so not something hard/sharp/metal

    Thank you!!

Doesn't look bad but reviews say kind of loud, also this isn't a big deal but I'm not a huge fan of the light blue color - I can go up to like 40 if it means better quality

Hi! Thanks so much for this thread. :) I'm totally stumped as to which cooling pad to buy, and my HP runs so hot I need one. Especially when I'm playing Warhammer or Wow...my lap desk is about to melt.

    1) Budget

Willing to spend to get something good.

    2) Is noise an issue for you? Are you annoyed but noticeable noise?

Kinda, but the TV is usually on so a little won't bother us.

    3) Post a picture of the under side of your notebook along with basic measurements like shown earlier in this guide. (just link to a previous post if your notebook has been posted before)

HP dv9000 which is the name of the thread. The fan is in the upper left and that's where it gets hot.

    4) Do you have a color preference?

I'd take hot pink or lime green if the darned thing worked.

    5) Any brands you would like to avoid?

    Nope, I'm open-minded. :)

Thanks for any info you can send my way!!
