Hi, I need good headphones that can last me for possibly 2 years. I would've said 5 years but I think that may be pushing it. My budget is pretty low -- $30 max. Of course if there is nothing good for that money, I'll have to increase it but I don't really want to. I'm going to be using these in university with my laptop so their usage is going to be a lot. There's so many that I don't really know where to start looking. I don't want to just go to the Source (Radio Shack) and pick one up..not yet at least.

You can pickup a good set of Sennheiser CX 300s on ebay for ~$30. Just make sure your buying from a reputable seller because there is a lot of fakes going around.
-
you might want to go ask on headfi.org great forums for audiophiles...
also i bought the akg-k81dj...they are really good...but they have incredible
bass...i dont know if you want a lot of bass...but they are equal or a little better than the $100 bose ones -
If u go to head-fi ...keep your budget atleast $100.
for $30 u dont even get cables in the audiophile world. -
i was able to pick up a set of skullcandy ink'd headphones fro $10 us and they're pretty good normal price thou is $27 us

i got a pair of skullcandy ear buds on black friday for 10 bucks. they are the best buds i have ever used. they are comfy and don't fall out easily. and the sound quality is much better then 10 dollar headphones.

i got mine from wondering into the wrong store i think i got from marshall on sunday.

If you want to spend $70, get the Etymotic ER6is. These are my favorite set of canal phones in this price range.
-
I would also recommend the Sennheiser CX-300's. They have excellent sound.

Depends on what kind of headphones you want, if you want IEM(canal phones) then the Cx-300's would be my vote, I'd even suggest them over the Etymotic ER6is's mentioned, but I'm biased towards ER because I don't like the sound signature of all their stuff I've used. If you can deal with open air headphones(can hear outside noise, and they leak sound) I'd definately suggest the Sennheiser PX100's you can get them for around 40$ from any store that sells them, should be cheaper if you find them on sale. I've had a pair for over 2 years, Used them every day at school, abused them, they still work good and sound great for the price.

The CX-300s I think might be a little too expensive for me. The lowest price I saw for them in Canada was $76.40 (although I didn't check ebay..but I want new ones).

You can get new stuff off of ebay. You might like the PX100's if you don't need isolation.

Dont buy off Ebay unless you know what you are looking for. Tons of fake CX-300s.
