So I had the settings perfect and I somehow managed to mess them up and I forgot how I got them that way. Basically I had my monitor plugged into my laptop and whenever I closed my laptop lid, the display would switch over to the external monitor.

I'm pressing the fn+f4 (that's the monitor control button for me) and its doing absolutely nothing. How do I tell if its working? I believe that had something to do with getting my settings right.

P.S. Closing my laptop lid is already set to do nothing and is irrelevant to this situation ;) (someone would have brought it up if I didn't mention it)
