Get U3 its amazing.I have tried many cooler like sf-19, antec 200, thermaltake massive cs and so on but never found them as good as notepal U3. Get the u3 version instead of U2 as its has more fans so it cooler your laptop better and its a bit bigger too.
But if you get U3 or U2 make sure to place the fans properly otherwise the cooler would perform pretty badly

Okay thanks I had a feeling the the u3 would be a better purchase. Are the changes in temp significant compared to a pc without a Notepal?

As for my laptop, totally i run my laptop overclocked so the temps even get worst around 98-99 but with U3 my temps are generally around 90 - 91
An idled around 60-61 without the cooler while with the cooler around 52-53

Sf-19 not a good idea. Way too loud. Doesn't cool that great. Expensive. Not portable. Too big in size. Too much vibration. List keeps going on

Too loud? Only if rev those things past medium, and I've never gotten my gpu hot enough to even consider that. It isn't quiet by any means, but it could be worse.

Doesn't cool great? That's your opinion, dropped idle temps 5C on just under med, and load temps around 4C

Expensive-no argument. It is. The usb 2.0 version is significantly cheaper though

Portability-it isn't portable. Not designed to be anyways, since it requires an ac adapter

Vibration-there is a mod on here to get rid of that; also you have to have the fans up really high for the vibration to become noticeable (and then I'm more attentive to the noise of the fans)

I am of course biased due to owning one. But it isn't ripoff, it does what it is marketed to do- sit on a desk and cool your laptop

How does the U2 compare to the SF 19? Are the differences in temp signficant if we were to compare both products?

Well its your choice i found sf-19 pretty pointless. I have had one and i returned it because it never perform as it i expected it to be. It just performed like the other coolers ( antec 200, massive 23cs, etc ).While U3 performed much better so its up to you. I have never tried U2 so i don't know how it will perform.
