    I can't believe it.

The Lenovo x300 that replaces my 4 year old Sony doesn't have a DVI out. Further more, the USB Universal docking sation that Lenovo sell for this thing doesn't have DVI either! I need to have a DVI out option to do 1920 x 1200 but I just can't find it, has anybody else had this problem?

Docking stations are limited by throughput, and most have a max resolution of 1600x1200. I've yet to see one with a WUXGA output.

You can always go VGA to DVI.

Yes. What else could VGA to DVI mean?

    Hmmm.

I have bought 3 separate VGA to DVI cables but all of them have had extra pins that have prevented them from fitting the monitor DVI port, where am I going wrong here?

In fact, is it possible to get a VGA to Single link DVI Cable?

Um, I'm pretty sure that VGA is analog and DVI is digital, so a cheap VGA-DVI cable isn't easy to find.

DVI-VGA is much easier since it seems most video cards are also able to output the analog signal through a little DVI-VGA adapter.

This thing looks pretty old school, but just the same, VGA-DVI will cost a couple hundred bucks.

Elfroggo, I am with you on this one - I can't see how you can go from VGA to DVI, looks like I'm screwed. Unbelievable that a 'cutting edge' laptop can't match the functionality of something 4 years old. Get with it Lenovo.
