    Situation:

At work I often make signs to place up in the lobby or near our meeting rooms when we have groups arriving or people that book meeting space.

Its a good opportunity to keep my photoshop skills from going away so I make some cool signs, but we only have standard fast speed black & white printers that we use to print registration cards and receipts.

The boss lady said she would also like me to have a color printer just for the sole task of my signs since they are so nice, but we are both deal hunters so we want to get a good price and something just right for the job.

I would really like something with USB print or even Wi-Fi print since I make the signs in Photoshop on my laptop, it would eliminate the step I have been taking to email myself a picture to print it, but thats not needed.

It just needs to be a decent quality color printer thats not too expensive, and preferably doesnt cost too much for refills or does not need refilling often.

I will use regular copy paper, none of that super nice high gloss photo paper. I just need color in these images as black and white is horrible for certain kinds of images.

    So recommendations gentlemen?

define cheap.. Canon ip4500 is what I use. It's amazing for the price. I've dealt with much more expensive printers which aren't as good. Ink usage is much better than Epson which sucks ink like candy. I thought I would need a second printer for text but I use it for everything. Text quality was surprising.

Epson`s inkjets are the cheapest printers to run, as you can buy compatible ink`s that are only 1/3 the price of an original.

Epsons suck ink like none other. :\ They are THE worst as far as ink costs because of it, plus and their prints tend to be too dark to top it.
