I'm not looking for the cheap crap that you can find at Wal-mart, I'm looking for a damn good bag that will store a laptop, notebook, camera, chargers, and a few other things. I travel quite a bit and I'm tired of always using a crappy bag that is cumbersome and not very comfortable. I used a backpack before but it was even more problematic (with my winter top coat and generally storing the bag somewhere).

So far, I found these 4 as my top choices:

    1. Timbuk2 Commute Messenger
    2. Timbuk2 Commute 2.0 Messenger
    3. Timbuk2 Laptop Messenger
    4. Mountain Hardwear Sentinel Jr.

1&2 - Pro: I like the style and the fact that it can hold a lot of things. Con: Don't know about their durability, can't customize colors.
3 - Almost the inverse of 1&2, not many pockets.
4 - Good colors and well designed, decent amount of pockets, lighter than Timbuk2 bags.

Are any of these water-proof? What's the difference between the materials with the Timbuk2 bags? Warranty from the manufacturers?

I traveled also, and man this is a great bag. Fits my laptop great! Has awesome padding, zippers that you can use a lock to keep people from opening them. Also has a wheeled base that you can zip on or off depending on whether you feel like wheeling or messenger bag style. Has leather trim.

Also has a roomy second compartment, as well as a compartment for clothes that can fit 3 days worth of clothes. as well as various other pockets that can hold chargers, ipods, documents. It comes with a small briefcase that can fit a 15.4 in laptop and documents, but doesn't have that much padding, but who cares no one really is buying the bag for the little accessory they throw in.

I've tried two bags a targus xl (terrible quality) and this other one which the name escapes right now, and the McKlein gets 5 stars!

Anyway check it out, its great!
