I don't know how people can use mice! I try ocasionaly to make sure I am not remembering wrong. But even playing about with a mouse to see how it feels in the store leaves my hand sore , but there are no Blue tooth trackballs... the last thing I want is a big Ir - Dongle that needs to be ballanced or hanging. Why the absence of BT trackballs except for one company, that has no hardware. I would by a Kensington BT Trackball with scroll ring in 2 seconds. Everyhere I see BT mice, now with BT, how about an entirely new interface. A device you hold and jesture 3d, or a system where you point with a sensor on your index finger, how abut a new generation trackball where all the sensors are in the ball, and the ball can sense pressure , and also have a rotation function, ala 3 axis, used by gripping ball and rotating it, rather than spinning it, al in one clean design. Call it the Unisphere. Cleaning would be as simple as lifting the ball from its pedistle and wiping it clean, same goes for the pedistle, or base, wich would be tolatly customisable because all the guts are inside the ball. You could have the austare clean model, no external buttons , and a gaming base with multiple programale buttons. What are we wating for..
