Well, I've done search after search and haven't found anything, but I'm a fireman and very frequently take overnight trips where I need to pack clothes and other things. I'm looking for a bag with a laptop pocket that will double as an overnight bag. As I mentioned before, I'm a fireman. . . aka - POOR, so I'd like this to be a reasonable purchase.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Have you thought of buying a neoprene laptop sleeve and just use a regular overnight duffel bag? I do that often when I use my backpack to carry my laptop around. The neoprene sleeve gives the laptop enough protection from scratches and small bumps. That's probably the most economical way...

I have not thought about this, but its definitely an option I guess. I would prefer an actual bag with built in pocket, but that may be my only choice. I don't even know if they make what I'm looking for.

fdmedic, what sort of laptop do you have? Is it a large expensive one? Small tough one like an IBM? I have a small little X series IBM, great rugged little machine. I always used to just throw that into my bag when I went away on a trip.

I have a new machine which is big, rather heavy and expensive, so I purchased a $200 bag for it, as I need it to be protected. Just some things I tend to think about when deciding on a bag.

I've got a T-series thinkpad. I'm really contemplating that bag that I posted.

AWESOME BAG! Guys this bag is incredible. It is the perfect size. I was a little worried about it being a little too big, but its great. Its got the perfect little pocket for my laptop with an extra pouch for computer/office accessories, along with plenty of extra space for overnight/gym trips. Exactly what I needed. Hope this post helps someone else. Let me know if anyone has any specific questions.
