    Hey guys,

So I currently use a pair of Klispch m40 headphones and an audio technica ATR2100 mic. Everything works great, but my current setup doesnt really allow me to get the mic as close as it needs to be to my mouth so its usually pretty quiet for other people. I also dont want to buy an entirely new headset.

I'm looking to get a small mic that I could maybe attach to my headset that will allow me to communicate and not worry about volume or anything. I've seen the modmic and it seems nice but is fairly expensive. If thats the best option then I'll probably go for it but if anyone has another recommendation I'm open for options. Also, I dont really care about it being wireless or not (my headphones arent and will never be for gaming).

    Thanks!

I think besides the modmic the zalman clip on mic is the only other option I've seen recommended. Its like under 10 bucks I believe.

Seems to be that would only work if you Think Different.

    Oh wait

The modmic would be the best option out of the fairly crappy ones. Alternatively you might like to look at ebaying an anglepoise radio studio like mount for your existing mic - that's what I do for my gaming mics (Blue Mouse), so that it comes up and over the monitors.
