    I remember using that mouse, Soviet779. ^_^

If you like its shape, I think you'll like the Razer DeathAdder:

Edit - I just called him "Soviet", but then I realized the other Soviet was here too. :p

What ever happened to the Razer Copperhead. I still love mine after all these years...although it has signs of wear, it still works great.

2000DPi and 1000Hz polling isn't as great as mice nowadays but I don't see the need of changing a good one unless it breaks.

They still sell the Copperhead. 1,000Hz polling is still as good as it gets, no mice have any higher than that currently.

copperhead is great. contrary to the anti-pinky users, i love the buttons there. i have it set to mouse 4 and ALT+F4 for the top, the left side is ctrl W and alt+space+n (minimize). great combo, love ma copperhead, tho not as much as my mamba. its kinda hard to get lower respones than 1ms...500[µs]? lol in near future, we'll be getting [fs] response times. so fast it'll seem the response happens b4 we click :D

If you aren't buying one anytime soon...I'll be making a review of the Orochi around the first week of December. Maybe that will give you more options.

That's where I've heard said amazing things.

Personally, I've used two MX518s for the past 4 years and will continue to use one.

I got a new one not because the old one broke, but because my G2S-A1 (R.I.P.) came with a free one and I gave my old desktop to my brother. It's a tank, and I plan on running it into the ground.

EDIT: Not to say that's the mouse to end all mice. I'm just saying that I love mine. If I had to get a mouse at this moment though, I'd look at Razer, and definitely the CM Storm Sentinel. Red Dragon can second that.

My favourite is the MX518, outperform's all logitech laser sensored mice on different surface's that I have incl G5, G7, VX,V450.....it never skip's a beat and is the most comfortable albeit the same shape as the G7 and G5 with a better button layout.
I wish they would make a wireless version of the MX518, like the G7 but without the surface fussy laser sensor.

Also have a razor krait and deathadder which are excellent also, but you have to have the type of hand and hold that suit's their shape, which I don't.

That's because optical delivers inherently smoother tracking than laser. ;)

Logitech MX518 and Razer DeathAdder - truly the kings of optical gaming mice. :D

Cant say i blame ya :)

The MX518 is a great mouse. Probably one of the most bullet proof mouses out there. I loved mine until someone stole it(grumble grumble) But i can see why you would take that path.

+1 more for the MX518. I downgraded (or upgraded?) from the G7 to the MX518 and I'm pretty happy with it. It's only because I became a bit more serious with my FPS games so I felt the urge to feed my ego haha.

I'd vouch for it's godliness, very good buy. :)
