And man are there alot of choices! I want something that can handle decent photos (mostly 4x6 but some 8x10) also occassional scans (quickly and quality) in fact I want the machine to be pretty quick overall (lots of copying and printing) and wireless networking would be nice to.

    Please help!

    What is your budget?

Canon, Epson, or Kodak <-- their newer printers are pretty good and the ink is cheap :)

We've got a (now old) Canon printer which is being fed "cheap ink".

You may want to make sure that you can get ink cheaply if you want to print a lot.
Thus - no Dell I believe (for the UK)

If you only want to print small stuf you may want to get a dedicated photo printer...

From experience I'd say Canon - good prints/printing quality, close to 4 years on still works fine :)
