Hi i currently on have a very basic sound setup and am thinking of upgrading i'm not sure if i should just get a 5.1 or 2.1 system. I play a lot of games like cod 4, crysis, and assasins creed and i also watch movies and listen to lots of music. I have heard that a 2.1 system is better for music but is a 5.1 system strictly for movies and games or will music still sound ok on it. Also does my system support 5.1 or do i need an external sound card like this one: http://www.londondrugs.com/Cultures/en-US/Product+Detail/Computers.htm?BreadCrumbs=Computers;Computers;Video%20and%20Sound%20Devices;Sound%20Cards;Creative%20Labs%20Live!%2024-Bit%20External%20Sound%20Card%20-%20USB&Catalog=Computers&Category=Sound%20Cards&ProductID=1035369&ProductTab=3?

    Thx for any help

2.1 is fine for games. I dont bother with 5.1 even tho I have it.

If I want sound stage headphones are the way to go.
