This is the first time I'm buying a laptop. I'm getting a Dell Inspiron 6400.

What are some "must get" accessories for a laptop?

I was thinking of getting maybe a laptop bag and a lock for protection. But is that totally necessary? If yes, which kind and brand would you prefer to get? I'm on a close budget so I want to keep everything as inexpensive as possible.

    Hi :)
If you don't know what accesories you could possibly buy for a laptop, then you most probably don't need any. There is no such thing as a "must have". A bag is usefull if you will carry your lappy around, no point of buying one if it just sits on your desk. Same for lock protection ;)

Once you will start using your computer certain needs may arise: a mouse if you don't like to use the touchpad, speakers if you can't stand the "bass deprived" sound coming from your laptop ;) or a cooling pad if you are a heavy gamer.

The only thing I would suggest is compressed air to clean the dust from under your keyboard and some LCD cleaning stuff.

    Good luck :)
