I am looking for some relatively inexpensive speakers for my laptop. These speakers do not need to have the greatest audio output ever but better than the speakers on my laptop, which shouldn't be too hard to beat. I have a Dell XPS M1210 laptop with the upgraded audio package, Integrated Sound Blaster® AudigyHD Software Edition. I don't know anything about speakers Please Help!

What's your price range?

Oh I don't know preferably less than $50. I will not be doing anything sound intensive; Internet browsing, watching You Tube, some games, and maybe DVDs.

After reading all the good reviews on Newegg, I bought the Logitech X-230 2.1 speakers, and I'm quite happy with them. I just needed some cheap, pretty good speakers - and they're exactly that. I'm certainly no audiophile, and I'm sure there are better-sounding options available, but for the price, they sound perfectly fine.

For that price, I agree the x230 is fine.
-
does the x-230 plug into a standard headphone jack

I got lucky buying these for a cheap price of $18 with free shipping. If you want to order, buy them from here: http://www.buy.com/prod/logitech-x230-pc-multimedia-speaker-system-oem-/q/loc/101/10389804.html
This comes with free shipping. Also you can use google checkout to get them $10 cheaper if it's your first time.
