Looking for a decent pair of closed-back headphones to use for music and gaming. Currently own a pair of Steelseries 5Hv2 for gaming, but the sound quality is pretty weak. Use my Grado SR80 for most of my music needs, but they leak out too much sound, as well as get uncomfortable after long sessions. Absolute maximum budget of £150.

Not sure how much you can find the Ultrasone HFI-780's over there for. But in states you can pick them up for about 180ish and they sound great. They don't leak much sound and they isolate very good.

I've heard good things about the JVC HA-RX700, basically the closed-ear equivalent to my RX900's.

Audio Technica headphones tend to be pretty good for gaming, though their open cans are better than their closed.
    The ATH-A700 are quite good.

Keep the suggestions coming people. I'll be heading down to Tottenham Court Road later to see if I can test a few headphones out.

Audio Technica A700 £119.95 (in the US a little cheaper) really good closed headphones, will not have a great seal like senn 280 but its enough for me and dont leak. Its really comfortable to use over long hearing session.
Audio Technica ATHM50 £109.00 (better price compared how they are offered in the US), this are very well regarded for closed, should have a better seal.
Sennheiser HD280pro £79.99 Sound wise lacks in the bass department, but this is very subjective, i feel this headphones are much more detailed in mids and high frecuencies, and their strong point is isolation, they really block a lot of the sound and have a tight grip feeling, not as comfortable as a700 but they isolate a lot more, i still can use them for long periods but prefer the a700 overall sound and comfort.
Shure SRH840 £156.00 i dont own them but a have closed friends rave about this, might be worth checking out.
Beyerdynamic DT770 PRO £135.23 one of my favorite cans, specially for bass related music or movies, but this you should consider an amp to drive them correctly to what they can deliver, i havent heard anything else that comes close for bass. I own the 250ohm version, but there is a 80ohm and 600ohm, not sure how they sound between each other.

These are what I have, I say they hold the sound in pretty good. You would really have to crank it to like ear bleeding levels for somebody else to hear it or be in a dead silent room.

Cant complain I think they are a good quality, wish they had more bass but thats because I am too used to the 12" Klipsch sub that is at my feet under my desk.

I have the Audio Technica ATH-m50s that was suggested above, they are great sounding, strong bass, comfortable, and can be gotten for less than $100USD.

Oh well. Gave in and just bought the ATH-A700. Got them for £150 which seems like a good price for in-store. Loving them already. May replace my Grado SR80 as main headphones :D
