So I just got my iPad and was sad to find out that my current headphones do not fit into the headphone jack on my iPad. I need a recommendation for good sounding headphones that are compatible with the iPad, and are between the $20-50 range. I am not an extreme music lover, so it does not have to be the best of the best, it just needs to work with the iPad.

Hi, I saw some good ipad headphones @ amazon.com for reasonable price and quality. You can check it out if you get the one you are looking for.

If he has full-size headphones, they may have a 1/4" stereo plug.

^If its just the difference of a 1/4th jack and 1/8th jack, he can just get an adapter. Now, if the headphones aren't getting enough power from the ipad, then he will need to get an amp.

I have the JVC HA-RX900. You can usually find it for under $50, but if that's too steep, there's the RX700 as well. Both come with standard 1/8 inch or 3.5mm plugs with a 1/4 inch adapter, and the iPad will have no trouble driving them.
