The right cup of my headset is starting to not make any sound (only when you position the cable in an awkward way)... So I need a new one. Any suggestions? I use it mostly for gaming, so a big noise canceling one would be preferable.
BRB fruitlessly trying to find a good review site for headsets.

I would recommend the Razer Megalodon, Excellent headset, very comfortable and the sound is amazing. you can switch between 2.0 sound and 7.1 surround sound by the click of a button. it has an excellent microphone as well. and it looks awesome. it also has a integrated sound card which is a big selling point.

well i always look to see if the headset is in warranty first because sometimes they still are. if not in warranty i usually always try to fix the headset myself before i buy a new one (i figure what the hell i cant lose if its already broken)
as for a headset i currently use a logitech g35. i really like the headset as i find it very comfortable and the surround effect is very good in the game i play the most (left 4 dead 2) it works well in other games also but i wont say it works great in all games because that would make me a liar lol -
I would call the manufacturer.

Its already been more than a year, and its a UK manufacturer (speedlink), so even if I could it would probably take way too much money to send it overseas.
I'm taking everything into consideration, though I'm not sure about spending more than 100$. Anyone has a bad experience with turtle beach or steelseries?
Edit: BTW, not just headsets, I would also like to hear about general headphones. I do have a clip-on mic. -
The Steelseries V5H2 had an amazing mic, but the sound stage wasn't to my liking. It breaks down into 3 pieces for easy transport though.
Currently using my ATH-A700 and a generic clip-on mic for now, but finally found a refurbished G35 for £70 which is on it's way.
For headphones, best options are circumaural open or closed ones, depending on how much bass you want. In fact, the ATH-AD700 is only $95.90 on amazon right now. If you prefer bass, the ATH-A700 is only $117.23. -
Can't go wrong with the Plantronics GameCom 377, or its 7.1 surround version, the 777.
It's pretty inexpensive, but it has the sound quality and durability of headsets several times its price. Very comfortable circumaural design, and great sound quality, both going in and coming out. -
Anyone has the razer Orca? It looks horrible but so far I haven't found a bad review of it, and it costs the same as the Gamecom 377.
-
The Orca is essentially the Carcharias without a microphone.

). Two things to note though is that they have basically zero sound isolation (which can be good or bad depending) and they don't fit very tight (maybe I have a small head) so I can't head bang to music or they'll fall off
Need headset (again)
