Need help finding a Messenger Style bag to fit a Sager NP8760

So my laptop should be here on Friday and I need a laptop bag, only problem is that I can't seem to find a messenger style bag that contain a PC with dimensions of 16.25" x 11 x 1.69" ~ 2.25".

Most bags that are 17" have a max pocket dimension of only 16" so I'm in a predicament. My budget is only maybe $50 USD so I can't go all out with an Alienware bag or anything.

Belkin makes a nice one that I really want, but again, it's pocket dimension size is 16". My PC is .25 of an inch larger then the pocket can hold so I'm a bit stuck as of now.

Anyone know if there's any possibility of my laptop fitting into one of those 17" bags? I'd much prefer a messenger type bag, but I would take a backpack if absolutely necessary. Anyone have any suggestions?

I own the third in the 15.6 grey edition. I can confirm it's good quality but $50 is a lot more than I paid if i remember correctly.

 

Are you looking for a smaller bag, or a bigger one? Since you've been looking at Amazon, just typing in "17.3 messenger" as a search item gives you plenty of bags to look at. I personally kind of like the look of this Targus. As well, interior dimensions can often be a little "off", because many of these bags can stretch slightly.

 

Looking for a, I guess smaller style bag. Only thing it's going to carry is the laptop, power adapter and small accessories like a mouse and headphones. That's about it really.

It will be at home most of the time, but I work at our Computer Lab at my college and if I've got no homework I can pretty do whatever I'd like, however th computers there are all locked up and I can't even use Netflix if I wanted to, so plan on taking it there so I can play some games or watch Netflix if I desire.

So yeah, don't plan on transporting it too often during the week, but on the weekend I do plan on taking it with me to work so I don't need a huge bag or anything.

 

I own that one too. I ordered it because I had the NP8130 on order, but the recall screwed that up. So I opted for the NP8760-S1 and now I need to return it. It seems like a solid bag I almost don't want to get rid of it haha. May use it as an actual bag for books and stuff, we'll see!

Well decided to give it a shot and get the one I really wanted. I only hope that it will actually fit my PC, but I suppose I can return it if it doesn't.

It's almost identical to the one I already bought, but is for 17" laptops. Guess I'm going to have to wait a couple weeks for it though, but it'll be worth waiting for, cause I don't want an ugly looking bag. That one is sleek looking and just what I want in a bag so I guess I can wait a couple weeks for it.
